All start cards for the 2026 Fietselfstedentocht sold out

All start cards for the 2026 Fietselfstedentocht sold out

All start cards for the 2026 edition of the Fietselfstedentocht have been sold. Registration is therefore officially closed.

Each year, 15,000 participants take part in the ride along the eleven Frisian cities. This maximum number of participants ensures a safe and well-organised event on Whit Monday. The fact that all start cards have again been allocated shows the continued strong interest in the Fietselfstedentocht.

Transfer of start cards from 1 February

Did you not manage to secure a start card, but would still like to take part? From 1 February, it will be possible to take over start cards via the official Fietselfstedentocht website.

This can only be done through a personal Fietselfstedentocht account. Within this account, the current availability of start cards will be shown through a supply-and-demand system.

Please note:

  • Transfer is only possible via the account on the website

  • Start cards offered or purchased outside this system are not valid

  • The organisation cannot provide support for private or external sales

Participants wishing to transfer their start card and those looking for a start card are advised to check the website regularly.

More information can be found on the Fietselfstedentocht website.

Become a volunteer and still ride the tour

It is possible to volunteer on the day of the Fietselfstedentocht and ride the tour at a later moment via the official Fietselfstedentocht app.

Participation via the app counts as a full and valid Fietselfstedentocht:

  • The ride is officially registered

  • You will receive a medal after completion

This way, you first contribute to the event and experience the Fietselfstedentocht later at your own pace.

Become a volunteer

Volunteers are essential to the successful organisation of the Fietselfstedentocht. On the day itself, there are various roles available along the route, at start and finish locations and at refreshment stations.

More information about volunteering and registration can be found at:
https://www.fietselfstedentocht.frl/nl/vrijwilligers/vrijwilliger-worden-bij-de-fietselfstedentocht

In this way, you can still be part of the Fietselfstedentocht — as a volunteer and as a cyclist.
