Cycling Together 

Would you like to cycle the Fietselfstedentocht on Monday, 17 May 2027, together with friends, family or other participants? You can!

During the Fietselfstedentocht 2027, you can link your registration with other participants. This means you will be assigned to the same starting group and can begin the event together.

From Friday, 8 January, until Sunday, 7 February 2027 (11:59 PM), you can invite other participants to cycle together through your personal Fietselfstedentocht account.

How Does Linking Participants Work?

Would you like to start together with someone else? You can invite another participant through your personal account.

Here's how it works:

1. Log in to your personal Fietselfstedentocht account.
2. Click the blue 'Invite Participant' (Deelnemer uitnodigen) button.
3. Send an invitation to the participant you would like to cycle with.
4. The invited participant will receive an email and must accept the invitation through their own account.

Important: The link between participants is only confirmed once the invitation has been accepted.

Once successfully linked, you will be assigned to the same starting group.

Entering the Lottery Together or Cycling Together: What's the Difference?

For the Fietselfstedentocht 2027, there are two ways to arrange participation with others.

Entering the Lottery Together

During open registration, you can register as a group of up to 20 people and enter the lottery together.

If your group is selected, all group members can complete their registrations individually. Once payment has been completed, you will automatically be assigned to the same starting group.

If your group is not selected, none of the group members will receive a place.

Cycling Together After the Lottery

Have you and your friends registered individually and all been selected in the lottery? You can still link your registrations after the lottery.

This allows you to start together, even if you did not enter the lottery as a group.

Important: If you enter the lottery individually, some of your friends may be selected while others may not.

Requirements for Cycling Together

To link your registration with other participants, the following conditions apply:

• Every participant must have their own Fietselfstedentocht account.
• Every participant must have a confirmed and paid registration.
• The invited participant must personally accept the invitation.
• Participants can be linked until 7 February 2027 at 11:59 PM.

After this deadline, it will no longer be possible to link additional participants to ensure they are assigned to the same starting group.

When Will the Starting Groups Be Announced?

Starting groups will be announced after the participant linking period has ended.

You will then be able to view your assigned starting group in your personal Fietselfstedentocht account.
