Open registration 2017 has commenced

Deze pagina is ook in het Nederlands beschikbaar   Diese Seite is auch auf Deutsch

The open registration will run from 1 until 14 December 2016 23:00. Until that time, you will have ample time to register. This means it is not necessary to register immediately on 1 December. If there is an overflow at a peak moment, there may be some delay in the processing of your registration. If so, please try again at a later time. You will have two weeks’ time to register. The draw will not depend on your moment of registration.

Open registration

Open registration will be done through our online registration system and is open to anyone. Have you ridden the Eleven Cities Bicycle Tour more than five times before? And at least once in the past four years? Then you have been able to preregister. Did you not preregister? Then you can now use the open registration with a draw. You will no longer have any special privileges!

Open-registration draw system

Anyone who wishes to participate in the Eleven Cities Bicycle Tour can apply for tickets through our website from 1 December 2016 until 14 December 23:00. An automated draw process will then follow.

The registration fee is €20.00 per ticket. This will become payable after you have won the draw. You can order a maximum of 10 tickets. Do you want to ride in a larger group? Then another member of your group must order the other tickets. In February 2016 you will have the opportunity to link these orders so all group members get the same starting time. Please keep an eye on the website of the Eleven Cities Bicycle Tour for the exact date.

What should I do to become eligible for a ticket?

  1. Register between 1 and 14 December 2016 23:00 at www.fietselfstedentocht.frl. Click the red button ‘Open registration’.
  2. If you have been drawn for the first round and are eligible for one or several tickets, you will receive an email on 19 December 2016 which contains a link to pay the ordered tickets.
  3. Please make sure you pay for the tickets on time! Payment must be final by 1 January 2017.
  4. If you have lost the draw you will also receive an email on 19 December 2016 with information about a possible second round. We will perform a second draw if there are still places available from people who have won the draw but failed to make their payment in time.
  5. Any tickets left over after the draw will be sold until they run out. Everyone who has lost the draw will have another opportunity to win a ticket if they send us a payment order immediately after our message (email).
  6. Are you confused? Please read the manual – step by step

How do I register?

Create an account
First you have to create an Eleven Cities Bicycle Route account (if you do not have one yet), where you enter your email address and a password. You will then receive a message in your inbox to confirm your account. This will take you to a confirmation page where you need to fill in and save further details. Creating an account is only a first step, it is not a registration! Please write down the email address and password that you use for your account somewhere, so you don’t forget them.

If you have created an account in previous years, you do not need to make a new account; just use your existing account. On the homepage of our website, click the red button ‘Open registration’ and then enter your email address and password.

Enter your details
The next step is to fill in personal details like your name, address and telephone number. Check your email address and date of birth again. Your email address forms the basis of your registration and the date of birth for the number of tours participated in. After completion of the registration procedure it will no longer be possible to change your name and date of birth in the system. Your address details are used to send you the required tickets a number of weeks before the Eleven Cities Bicycle Tour. It is possible to change your address and email addresses through your account.

Check your registration
In this screen you check your details. Has something gone wrong? The “Change” button enables you to go back and change your details. You must then read the “Regulations for the Eleven Cities Bicycle Tour” and tick the box if you agree.

Complete your registration
When you click “Register” you will confirm your registration. Once you have completed the registration procedure you will receive a confirmation at the email address you have specified. Keep this email safe, because it is proof of registration. If you discover a mistake after receiving the confirmation message, you can log in to your account with your log-in details and adjust any inaccuracies. You can also adjust the number of tickets up to a maximum of 10 until 14 December 23:00 2016.

The draw

After the registration period there will be a draw by our automated system. Just like in 2016, 15,000 participants will be able to ride the tour.

As soon as you have won the draw you will be sent information about payment of the registration fee of €20.00 per ticket. Registration is not final until the full amount has been received by the Eleven Cities Bicycle Tour organisers. Payment can be made through iDEAL, credit card or PayPal. If you do not pay in time, your registration will lapse. Any free places will then be offered to people who did not win a place in the first draw. There will be no correspondence about the draw or any of its results.
Persons who did not win the draw will be notified.

What you should also know if you have won the draw:

  • You can see all your details that are known to us and make any (email) address changes yourself.
  • Print your own finish check form (Finishcontroleformulier) on your personal page from around four weeks before the tour.
  • All participants must have an account to print the finish check form. Please follow the instructions that are enclosed with the ticket.
